On Earth Day, the world’s largest wildlife crossing bridge breaks ground (www.uplifting24.com)

The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing will span over ten lanes of the 101 freeway in California

A historic Earth Day event recently took place in Southern California to commemorate the commencement of construction of the historic Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing – will span over ten lanes of the 101 freeway in the Los Angeles area.

The crossing is a response to the National Park Service’s two decades of research, which has proven that highways and development are dangerous for creatures attempting to cross and have produced islands of habitat that can genetically segregate wildlife ranging from bobcats to birds and lizards.

More of such projects are needed where we respect the right of other beings!
